RaviShankar Prasad, Union Law Minister has stated that the ban on triple talaq is associated with the women’s dignity, honour, prestige and justice.
On December 15, 2017 union cabinet has given its assent to the draft law on the triple talaq which makes the practice of triple talaq by the muslims as illegal and void and has also the provision of imprisonment for the violators.
The draft law provides that the person pronouncing instant triple talaq shall be punished with the three years jail term and said that the issue of women’s prestige, justice and honour.
The Union Minister said that the BJP is in support of victim womens. He further said that the challenges on both internal and external front are being currently faced by the country while addressing a training camp at Jhamur Village at Rohtas district of BJP state level office bearers.
He said that on the external front challenges are being faced from the neighbouring countries such as China and Pakistan. On the internal front, the country is facing challenges such as unemployment, illiteracy, poverty and malnutrition.
The training camp also addressed by the former union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Rajya Sabha member Gopal Narayan SIngh.
