While replying to  RTI, it has been clarified by the Noida Authority that private hospitals cannot charge parking fee on the plots allotted to them. However, violating this rule private hospitals in Noida are charging the parking fee ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 per day.

Advocate Ranjan Tomar filed the RTI with the Noida authority on December 28, 2017, which was replied by the authority on 15 January 2018. In its reply to the RTI, Noida authority clarified that the contracts between the authority and private hospitals do not permit the hospitals to levy the parking fees in or near the premises where the hospital is situated.

Referring to the reply of the authority Advocate Tomar stated that it is clear that the hospitals are levying and charging the parking fees illegally and the same amounts to breach of contract on their part. He further added that such breach of contract on the part of the private hospitals can lead to cancellation of the lease by the Noida authority.

A resident of Sector 12 Noida Mr. Alok Singh said that the hospitals charge double than the normal parking rate and because of this reason the people park their vehicles outside the parking of a private hospital in the designated parking zone rather than parking in private hospital premises.

The spokesperson from Metro Hospital of Sector 11 Noida said that they do not charge any parking fees. However, the spokesperson of Fortis Hospital of Sector 62 Noida said that they follow all the rules and regulations of the lease agreement and they only charge the nominal parking fees.
