Chargesheet filed against former MP Minister and 94 Others in Vyapam Scam by CBI

The investigation by the agency revealed that the details of favored candidates such as roll number and form number was collected by the accused and alleged middlemen and provided the said information to the then principal system analyst in Vyapam- Nitin Mohindra.

Former Madhya Pradesh technical education minister Laxmikant Sharma and his then officer on special duty, OP Shukla has been charged by the CBI in one of the cases of Vyapam scam.

The charge against Laxmikant Sharma is that he appointed Pankaj Trivedi, an officer of his own choice as the Controller of Examination for conducting examinations in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board which is also known as Vyapam.

In the examinations for Samvida Shala Shikshak Patrata Pariksha Varg-3 Exam conducted by Vyapam in 2011, Sharma through Pankaj Trivedi has pushed the favored candidates for selection. 

In the charge sheet, 92 other persons than Laxmikant Sharma, oP Shukla, Pankaj Trivedi have been named by the CBI.
In 2014 Laxmikant Sharma and OP Shukla have been imprisoned after 55 persons were charge-sheeted by an investigation conducted by Madhya Pradesh STF. Laxmikant Sharma has been accused in 6 cases related to Vyapam Scam.

In Vyapam Scam more than 110 charge sheets have been filed by the CBI accusing more than 1600 people in the same. The investigation was taken over by the agency on the direction of Supreme Court in 2015.

Nitin Mohindra used to create a different database having the list of candidates whose marks have to be increased prior to declaring the result and after increasing the results there original marks were deleted.
